The Harvard women’s tennis team, including freshman EVA WANG, top, celebrates its win over Oklahoma State in the first round of NCAAs, held at the Beren Tennis Center. The Crimson won 4-1 and proceeded to beat Arizona 4-3 the following day.
CHU ON THIS
Sophomore Jonathan Chu, who starts at No. 2 singles, helped the men’s tennis team to its 12th Ivy title in the last 15 years. It is the second year in a row that Chu has played in the No. 2 spot behind junior co-captain David Lingman.
COURTING GAINSVILLE
Sophomore COURTNEY BERGMAN defeated Arizona’s Emilie Scribot, the fifth-ranked player in the country, in three sets to clinch a 4-3 victory for the Crimson on Saturday. Harvard advances to the NCAA Championship round of 16 to be held in Gainseville, Fla.
