Administrators, alumni, and students celebrated the 100th birthday of Persis Smith Hall, the main structures of Kirkland House on Feb. 7.

IOP Discussion on Gang Violence in Mexico
Alfredo Corchado, a 2009 Nieman Fellow, and Angela Kocherga listen as Alejandro A. Poire Romero '02, of the Mexico National Security Council discusses the response of the Mexican government to drug-related gang violence in Mexico at the IOP yesterday. According to Poire, "90 percent of [drug-related, violent] crimes occur in local jurisdiction."
