After dropping the national title match to rival Yale last year, co-captain Nirasha Guruge and the Harvard women’s squash team will seek retribution when the CSA Team Championships come to Cambridge this weekend.
Kennifer
Co-captain Devan Kennifer, shown above in earlier action, turned in two strong offensive performance for the Harvard women’s water polo team, notching seven goals in the Crimson’s 15-14 loss to Iona and two in Harvard’s 13-1 win over Villanova, both on Saturday.
Gemmell
Battling back pain, junior Laura Gemmell, shown here in previous action, still managed to win both of her weekend contests playing at the No. 2 spot. The former national champion remains perfect on the year.
Nirvana
Co-captain Nirasha Guruge, shown above in earlier action, and the Harvard women’s squash team did not drop a single match this weekend. Despite playing a demanding number of games, the Crimson came out on top in each of its matchups, 9-0. Junior Laura Gemmell played her only match of the weekend against No. 15 Amherst, downing her opponent in three straight sets.
