A longtime Cambridge resident, Marc McGovern is currently serving his first term as a Cambridge city councillor. His reelection platform includes increasing community involvement in city development, strengthening education, and addressing poverty. McGovern served on the Cambridge School Committee for eight years and is now Chair of the City Council Finance Committee. He is involved issues of education and youth programs and works as a clinical support social worker for the Farr Academy.
