After an undefeated weekend on the West Coast, besting No. 20 Santa Clara University (12-6), No. 14 San Jose State University (12-10), No. 17 California Baptist University (11-10), and No. 16 University of the Pacific, the Harvard’s men’s water polo team looked forward to last weekend’s three games at home against conference opponents, including rival Princeton.

Burghardt on the Rise as Men's Water Polo Win Streak Reaches 12 Games

This past weekend, Harvard men’s water polo flew westward to compete at the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament in California. Heading into the tournament, Harvard was on a eight-game winning-streak after going 4-0 at the Harvard Invitational. The Crimson are now on a 12-game winning-streak after defeating the University of the Pacific, San Jose State, No. 16 Santa Clara University, and California Baptist University.

Following Home Stint, Water Polo Looking Forward to Playoff Waters

Harvard men's water polo team finished off their regular season last weekend with a three game stint. It was only fitting to do it at the place the team has favored most: home, sweet home, at Blodgett Pool in Cambridge.

Harvard men’s water polo wrapped up Halloweekend with two more wins against Brown University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The Crimson is back on a two game win streak after going 2-2 the prior weekend during its trip to California, where they fought well against multiple top-ten ranked opponents.


Men's Water Polo Bounces Back From Princeton Loss With Critical Victories

The Crimson (10-4, 4-1 Ivy League) emerged from the long weekend with a three game winning streak. Harvard swept all three opponents, besting Brown (9-7, 2-3) and Connecticut (1-6) on Saturday on a back-to-back road trip, before returning to Cambridge on Sunday to dismantle MIT (3-10, 1-5 NEWMAC).

Men's Water Polo Splits California Weekend Tournament

The Harvard men’s water polo team split its four games at the Aggie Round Up in California, easily handling Occidental College and winning an overtime thriller against No. 13 University of California Irvine to elevate the Crimson’s ranking to No. 12 in the country.


Men’s Water Polo Sunk by Heartbreaking Final-Minute Loss in NWPC Semifinals

The Harvard men’s water polo team rode a five-game winning streak to Princeton, N.J., for the Northeast Water Polo Conference playoffs on Nov. 19-21. The No. 2 Crimson (26-6, 9-2 NWPC) entered the playoffs poised to make a run at defending its 2019 crown after it was stripped of that opportunity by the pandemic last fall.
