Harvard Baseball Splits Weather-Shortened Series with Princeton After Near No-Hitter from Pauley

Defense reigned supreme as Harvard baseball split its doubleheader against Princeton on Friday. After dropping the first game 1-0, sophomore Truman Pauley took a no-hitter into the 9th inning as the Crimson rebounded with a 3-2 victory.

With the Ivy League tournament only a few weeks away, the Harvard baseball team (8-20, 5-7 Ivy) traveled to New Jersey for a critical series against the Princeton Tigers (10-19, 6-6). With its sights set on its first Ivy League series win of the season, the team split the Saturday doubleheader and then blew out the Tigers in the decider, taking two of three on the weekend.


Harvard Loses to Boston College, Fails to Advance in Beanpot

The Harvard baseball team’s offense has scored more than eight runs three times this season. Its record in those three games is 0-3. Unfortunately for the Crimson (4-17, 2-4 Ivy), its loss to the Boston College Eagles (16-11, 5-7 ACC) on Tuesday — in the semifinal game of the 33rd Baseball Beanpot — solidified a puzzling trend for the team: when the offense is firing on all cylinders, its hitters seem to playing a constant game of catch-up. This time, the final score was 17-9.


Baseball Drops First Home Series to Brown

After dropping its Ivy League opener on the road at Columbia, the Harvard baseball team (4-16, 2-4 Ivy) returned to Massachusetts to face off against Brown (7-14, 2-4 Ivy) in the Crimson’s home opener last weekend. The team’s doubleheader on Saturday was moved to Boston College’s Pellagrini Diamond, where it took one-of-two, due to improper field conditions at Harvard’s O’Donnell Field. The Crimson returned to O’Donnell on Sunday for its official home opener and lost the rubber match to drop the series.


Baseball Kicks Off Ivy League Play at Columbia, Wins One of Three

Coming off of a tough spring break trip, the Harvard baseball team (3-13, 1-2 Ivy) kicked off Ivy League play against Columbia (6-12, 2-1 Ivy). The Crimson, who swept the Lions in 2023, looked to start off on a strong note in conference play. The teams started off the series with a doubleheader on Friday, winning one of two before dropping the matinee on Sunday.


Harvard Baseball Is Swept By Troy, Starts the Season 0-3

Harvard baseball traveled down to Alabama to battle against the Troy Trojans, but the result was the same as its last trip to the Crimson Tide state in 2020: a three-game skid to start the season.
