Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Laverne Cox, Agnes Gund, Raymond J. McGuire, Deval Patrick, and Betye Saar received the W. E. B. Du Bois Medal, Harvard's most prestigious award in African and African American studies, at a ceremony on Oct. 6th.
