U.S. Representative John Lewis receives an Honorary Doctor of Laws degree at Harvard's Commencement Exercises on Thursday while fellow awardees Kwame Anthony Appiah and Wendy Kopp look on.  Lewis received the degree for his years as a leader in the Civil Rights Movement as chairman of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee and his continued service to the nation as a congressman.
