Two years ago, in the middle of December 2013 final exams, Harvard students received an unsettling email from University Executive Vice President Katherine N. Lapp detailing “an unconfirmed report that explosives may have been placed in four buildings on campus: the Science Center, and Thayer, Sever and Emerson halls.”

Bomb Threat Shakes the Yard

Harvard police received an unconfirmed death threat via email on Monday, prompting an evacuation of four buildings in and around Harvard Yard before it was determined to be unfounded. The Crimson's multimedia staff documents the scene as the investigation unfolded.

Join the Kirkland community in welcoming Marlon James, author and winner of the 2015 Man Booker Prize for his novel “A Brief History of Seven Killings".Conversation will be moderated by award winning author and journalist, Scott Poulson-Bryant. This event will take place in Kirkland House at 4 p.m.

The Harvard College Women’s Center is presenting a discussion with Women of Color on bridging the two worlds of Harvard and home. This event will take place in the Harvard College Women’s Center at 7 p.m.

Join the Harvard Republican Club for a conversation on immigration, politics, and 2016 with Pulitzer Prize winning journalist, filmmaker, and immigration activist, Jose Antonio Vargas. This event will take place in Science Center E at 8 p.m.

Harvard Student Mental Health Liaisons is hosting “When Is It More Than Just A Bad Day?” featuring a panel of speakers, representatives from staff at McLean Hospital, Room 13, UHS, CAHMS, the Cambridge Eating Disorder Center, and one of the SMHLs. This event will take place in the Fong Auditorium from 8:15 to 9:30 p.m., and then at Ticknor Lounge from 9:30-10:30 p.m.
