God, Via Javerbaum, Visits the Coop

David A. Javerbaum '93, former executive producer of Comedy Central's "The Daily Show," spoke at the Coop today in promotion of his latest book, "The Last Testament: A Memoir By God."

The book, which was released in November, is billed as a memoir dictated by God to Javerbaum, as God's way of clearing things up before the impending apocalypse.

Javerbaum spent most of the event at the Coop reading aloud from his book, showcasing the same wit and satirical bite that characterized his writing for Jon Stewart.

Javerbaum, who left "The Daily Show" in 2010, is the winner of 11 Emmys and two Grammys, and one of the three principle authors behind the bestselling book "America (The Book): A Citizen's Guide to Democracy Inaction." While at Harvard, he was a member of the Lampoon, a semi-secret Sorrento Square social organization that used to occasionally publish a so-called humor magazine, and co-writer of two Hasty Pudding Theatricals shows.
