Roving Reporter: Time for FOOTBALL
Tristan Reed, GSAS
FM: Who do you think is going to win this season?
TR: Pro? I have no idea. For college, I hear Stanford is pretty good, but I think theyâve been untested.
FM:Â Your favorite team and why youâre supporting them:
TR: UCLA, where I went to college, but theyâre not very good at all.
FM:Â Which team is your sleeper pick?
TR: Whatâs a sleeper pick?
FM:Â What do you think about the Harvard football team?
TR: I donât know if theyâre good or not. I hope that they beat Yale.
FM:Â Have you had any football players in your class?
TR: I heard there are a lot in the economics department, but I havenât had the pleasure to teach them.
FM:Â What did you think about the lockout this summer?
TR: Wasnât it the NBA? Of course basketball players should have higher salaries. No, Iâm just kidding.

FM:Â Whatâs your general perception about football?
SRS: I hate that itâs a rip-off of rugby, and it doesnât actually use the foot enough to warrant the use of the word âfootâ in its name.
FM:Â Who do you think is going to win this season?
SRS: If Harvardâs playing, Harvard will win. I donât actually know what the other teams are, but go Harvard!
FM:Â Do you watch the NFL at all?
SRS: The what? That was a no.
FM: What will American football look like in 15 years?
SRS: Pretty much the same.
FM: Do you ever see yourself becoming a football fan?
SRS: Honestly, no ... .

LB: I know a lot of the players here, but I havenât seen any football happening.
ALT: I tend to pay more attention to the players themselves than to the game.
FM: Your favorite team and why youâre supporting them:
ALT: The one closest to me is the Seahawks, but theyâre not very good. I know the 49ers though.
FM:Â MVP pick?
LB: Brian. Thatâs my friendâs roommate.
FM: What will American football look like in 15 years?
LB: Maybe with more technology. More problems with supplements.

FM: Whatâs your general perception about football?
TH: Football is a great sport. Itâs good for bringing all of Harvard together to support the team. I donât play myself but Iâve played a little bit in the past, and itâs a really fun game.
FM: Who do you think is going to win this season?
TH: Just based off of my intuition, I think Harvardâs going to have a great season.
FM: Your favorite team and why youâre supporting them:
TH: The Cowboys. When I was younger, my uncle bought me a Cowboys jersey. He was playing for the team at the time so I decided that Iâd support the team.
FM: MVP pick?
TH: Iâd have to say Ryan in Grays East. He looks like heâs really good and Iâve seen him do a little bit of stuff.
FM:Â What do you think about Roger Goodell?
TH: I think heâs a pretty good commissioner of the NFL.
FM: What will American football look like in 15 years?
TH: I think the players will be making a lot more money. Itâll still be a very high-paced game, maybe even more high-paced than it is now. People will watch it more, and itâll stay really popular.
