Peeping Toms
With housing day quickly approaching, the average freshman faces many vital questions such as "Are Mather singles really worth the cement?," "Are Quad rooms really that good?," and "Where, exactly, is the Quad?"
Anxious freshmen, fret no longer! Stop sneaking into random Kirkland rooms (yes, they really do hold eight people). Instead, let Harvard Rooms do the dirty investigative work for you.
This new website—designed by Kevin J. Chin '13 and Kidus T. Asfaw '13, both of Eliot House—allows those who register for the site to view the rooms of other students in the database. In return, users are encouraged to post photos and reviews of their own rooms. Simply click on a House and choose the desired entryway to see the photos and comments.
Originally created as a CS50 project last semester, the site launched right before the fair. Despite its early release, hits have only recently started picking up.
"We need everyone's help to get the site out there," Chin said. "The only way the site will be useful is if everyone works together."
