Media Scrutinizes Caroline Giuliani's Arrest

A current Harvard undergraduate, daughter of former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani, has captured national media attention after allegedly attempting to steal over $100 in merchandise from a cosmetics store.

Caroline R. Giuliani ’11 was arrested after employees at a Sephora store on the Upper East Side witnessed Giuliani putting makeup in her coat pocket, according to the New York Times.

The incident landed Giuliani on the front web page of the New York Times, and has been covered by the Wall Street Journal, the New York Post, and various gossip sites and news outlets.

Giuliani was spotted in Cambridge as recently as Friday at the opening of the Harvard-Radcliffe Summer Theatre's production of "The Rocky Horror Show," which she co-produced.

Giuliani did not immediately respond to request for comment.
