For Charity, Tom Brady To QB at Stadium
Tom Brady will be at the Harvard Stadium this June to play some flag football as honorary chairman of the Audi Best Buddies International Challenge: Hyannis Port.
The New England Patriots quarterback will be here on June 4 at 6:30 p.m. to kick off the weekend-long charity event on behalf of Best Buddies, an organization that aims to improve the lives of individuals who are developmentally disabled.
Brady will do what he does best—quarterback—for both teams of Best Buddies supporters and participants. According to Best Buddies spokeswoman Heather Schatz, Food Network star Guy Fieri will host a barbecue at the Gordon Track after the game.
"This is the first time we're doing the football game, and it's the first time we're doing it at Harvard," Schatz said.
The nighttime festivities will be followed by a 100-mile cycling event, a 5K run, and a 3K walk on Saturday starting at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library, according to a press release.
Harvard was selected as the location of the event because of its longstanding Best Buddies chapter as well as the quality of its facilities, according to Schatz.
Tickets can be reserved at the event's website.
