Respectably French Responds to Colbert's Attack on Mankiw

According to Respectably French’s latest video, Stephen Colbert has “deprived the entire Harvard community of our [N. Gregory] Mankiw.” The video, which features the Ec. 10 professor, is a response to a comment Colbert made (starting at 2:59) mocking Mankiw’s recent New York Times column on taxes and their effect on his incentive to work.

Mankiw first reacted with amusement to the Colbert comments, posting on his blog, “I find Stephen Colbert funny, even when it’s at my expense." He also posted Respectably French's video, in which he is jokingly titled an “Ex Harvard Economics Professor.”
