Senior Colin West took home the men's squash national title in his final season at Harvard.
Although Harvard is not typically appreciated as the embodiment of athletic talent, a number of our competitors, both upper and underclassmen, have proven this year that our university has not only the brains but the brawn.
One can easily point out the names that have distinguished Harvard for athletic prowess: Colin West, J.P. O’Connor, Caroline Vloka, Andre Akpan, Laura Gemmell, and Jeremy Lin.

The women's club rugby team headed to Ireland for a Spring Break filled with athletic competition and cultural exploration.
Spring break is a cherished memory of the seemingly distant past, remembered as a time when one had the chance to take a break from work and escape from the Harvard bubble to warmer climates. Yet, for the Radcliffe Rugby Football Club, the direction of travel wasn’t south, but rather, east.
Its final destination? Ireland.
The members of the women’s club rugby team journeyed across the Atlantic Ocean to spend eight days in the Emerald Isle, where they tested their skills against international competition, tried the local cuisine, and saw historical sites and cultural events.

While the competition between the two conferences may be largely limited to lacrosse—though don’t forget the Crimson’s recent success against Boston College in men’s basketball and men's soccer, it’s nothing short of the SEC-Big 12 college football rivalry in intrigue and intensity.

For the Ivy League, winter has officially ended, as the three teams left dancing in their NCAA Tournaments—Yale and Cornell men’s hockey and the Big Red men’s basketball —all bowed out last weekend. So now, we at The Back Page can turn our attention to the spring season, with renewed rivalries, national powerhouses, and rainouts. Lots and lots of rainouts.

Senior midfielder Jason Duboe was named a finalist for the Lowe's Senior Class Award.
At stake this Friday night in the Harvard-Duke lacrosse game will bragging rights, national standings and...the Lowe’s Senior Class Award?
About a month ago, I wrote that senior midfielder Jason Duboe had been nominated for the award. Duboe just got one step closer to winning it yesterday when he was named one of ten finalists. The senior was a preseason All-American honorable mention and has also been named to two Tewaaraton Watch lists and the preseason All-Ivy team. Duboe was also a first team All-New England selection the past two seasons.
