Crimson Determined To Throw Its Way to Nationals

What better way to spend a beautiful spring day than by tossing a Frisbee around the Yard? For the Harvard men’s ultimate team, it’s more than just a way to spend the afternoon; it’s a pastime involving fierce competition.

The Crimson recently competed in the first of two qualification tournaments for the National club competition in the sport. Two weeks ago, the Metro-Boston Area Sectional welcomed teams such as Bentley, MIT, Northeastern, Harvard, and Tufts to Rhode Island for a weekend of tough rivalry.

Track Team To Compete in Prestigious Penn Relays

The Harvard men and women's track team begin competition in the Penn Relays today.

What’s better: racing or meeting Usain Bolt?

Members of the Harvard men’s and women’s track team will decide for themselves this Thursday through Saturday as the team competes at the University of Pennsylvania’s 116th Penn Relays. A squad of thirteen women and ten men left earlier today to take part in the oldest and largest track and field carnival in the United States.

Beyond the Harvard women’s quest for a third-straight Ivy title, this weekend’s women’s golf Ivy League Championships will also bring the chance for a rematch between Crimson junior Mia Kabasakalis and Columbia senior Nancy Shon.

Del Mauro, Huxley Named Men's Hockey Captains

Junior Michael Del Mauro and classmate Chris Huxley have been named Harvard men's hockey captains for next season.

Last weekend at its awards banquet at the Harvard Club of Boston, the Harvard men's hockey team named juniors Michael Del Mauro and Chris Huxley as its 117th and 118th captains. Classmate Kyle Richter was designated as assistant captain.

In the 111-year history of Crimson hockey, only four pairs of co-captains had been named prior to Del Mauro and Huxley.

Dartmouth Hires Men's Hoops Coach

Dartmouth has hired Golden State Warriors scout Paul Cormier as its men's basketball coach.

Cormier had previously coached at Dartmouth from 1984-1991, accumulating a record of 87-95 with the Big Green. He more recently served as Fairfield's head coach for seven seasons before moving on to posts with several NBA teams.
