A Harvard teaching fellow was killed early this morning when he was hit by a tractor trailer at the intersection of Mass. Ave and Prospect St., according to the Boston Globe.
The Globe reported that police have not released the victim’s name, but e-mails from representatives of Harvard Hillel and the Chabad House at Harvard to their respective organizations identified him as Isaac Meyers, a teaching fellow in the classics department.
The Classics department will be holding an informal gathering for Meyers’ friends in Boylston Hall at 7 p.m. this evening, and services have been tentatively scheduled for Wednesday in New York, one of the e-mails said.
The Cambridge Police Department did not immediately return requests for comment.
