Peter Cai '10, a junior from Adams House who studied molecular and cellular biology, collapsed Saturday morning at River Run. He died of cardiac arrest just before noon at Mt. Auburn Hospital. He was 20.
A native of Pittsburgh, Cai was an aspiring physician active in campus science and pre-medical groups. In addition to his academic pursuits, Cai was an accomplished violinist who played for the Mozart Society Orchestra and an English-language tutor for the Phillips Brooks House Association's Chinatown tutoring program.
Adams House administrators announced the news in an e-mail to the House community, adding that the House would convene at 1:30 p.m. in the dining hall.
