Three Crimson women put up strong performances at the NCAA East Regional Championships in Gainesville, FL, over the weekend.
Freshman Eda Karesin finished sixth in the javelin after a heave of 47.47 meters. The throw was just .36 meters short of the fifth place finisher, with the top five in the event qualifying for the NCAA Championships on June 6-9. Senior co-captain Julia Pederson was 17th in the same event with a 43.21 meter throw.
Sophomore high jumper Becky Christensen finished in a tie with four other girls for ninth after clearing 1.71 meters.
Karesin and Christensen will now await the announcements of at-large bids to the NCAA Championships on May 29.
