By The Crimson Staff, Crimson Staff Writer

The Radcliffe heavyweight crew team has been selected as one of 12 teams headed to Tennessee for the 2007 NCAA Championships, the NCAA Division I Rowing Committee announced yesterday.

Scheduled to be held May 26-27, the NCAA Championships will take place at Melton Hill Lake in Oak Ridge, Tenn.

The selection marks the 10th time in 11 seasons that the Black and White will be competing in the NCAA’s postseason. Radcliffe finished its dual racing season with a 10-5 record, while the Black and White took fourth place at the EARC Sprints last weekend. At sprints, Radcliffe took home four medals, including two silver medals in the varsity four A and the second varsity eight.

Central Florida, Dartmouth, Standford and UCLA were the four teams selected as at-large bids in the varsity eight. The other 11 teams are Yale, Washington, Virginia, Southern California, Princeton, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Minnesota, California, Brown and host-Tennessee.
