Cohen Headlines All-Ivy Selections

By Crimson Sports Staff, Crimson Staff Writer

Senior attackman Greg Cohen was named to the All-Ivy League second team for the second year in a row Wednesday, one of three players from the Harvard men’s lacrosse team honored by the conference this season.

Co-captain midfielder John Henry Flood and sophomore defenseman Max Gottschall received honorable mention recognition. It was the second straight honorable mention nod for Flood, while it marks the first All-Ivy selection of Gottschall’s career.

Cohen ended his senior season with 25 points and five assists to lead the Crimson in scoring. Flood was second in all of Division I lacrosse with a 67.1 win percentage at midfield. He also picked up a team-high 76 groundballs on the year.

Gottschall caused nine turnovers and picked up 16 groundballs while often drawing the toughest defensive assignments in 11 starts this season.

No. 1 Cornell led the league with seven first-team selections and nine overall. Matt McMonagle of the Big Red was named Player of the Year.
