8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
A pair of Crimson football assistant coaches have been introduced as part of new staffs at other schools.
Defensive line coach Jeff Commissiong has been named to the same position on the staff of new Boston College coach Jeff Jagodzinski’s after just one season in Cambridge. Previously, Commissiong spent eight seasons on the staff at Maine, his alma mater, as well as two seasons at Bates. Commissiong also recruited New England, New York, and Canada for Harvard while serving as the team’s pro liason.
Special teams and linebackers coach John Butler is leaving for the same position at Minnesota as part of Tim Brewster’s new staff. After arriving from Southwest Texas State, Butler spent the last four seasons at Harvard, handling recruiting for Texas, Arizona, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. He coached four first-team All-Ivy selections at linebacker during his tenure in Cambridge, including senior captain Ryan Tully this season.
Harvard has not yet announced replacements for the departing assistants.
