Crimson Editorial Board Co-Chair Steps Down

By Claire M. Guehenno, Crimson Staff Writer

Crimson Editorial Co-Chair Andrew M. Trombly ’08 stepped down last night from his position on the 134th Guard of The Harvard Crimson.

Trombly will be taking a year-long leave of absence from Harvard for academic reasons and will thus not be able to complete his term as chair.

“Drew has shown amazing commitment to the building for the past two years,” said Kristina M. Moore ’08, president of The Crimson. “We have greatly appreciated him and will deeply miss him.”

Trombly said that he respects the decision of the College’s Administrative Board and is “fully confident that the editorial board will continue to do great things.”

The Executive Board of The Crimson will convene today to select a new chair to serve alongside co-chair Adam M. Guren ’08, Moore said last night.

The new chair will serve for the remainder of the academic year and during the fall of 2007.

Trombly, a Dunster House resident, was elected to The Crimson in the spring of 2005. He served last year as associate editorial chair, before being promoted two months ago.

One year ago, then-Managing Editor Zachary M. Seward ’07–’09 was also forced to resign after the College required him to take a one-year academic leave of absence.
