James Blake, formerly of the Class of '01 and the No. 5 ranked tennis player in the world, lost 7-6 (7), 6-0, 6-7 (9), 6-4 to No. 1 Roger Federer in the quarterfinals of the U.S. Open tonight. Federer has won eight Grand Slam titles and is seeking his ninth. A victory would have been Blake's first in a Grand Slam quarterfinals match. (THC/AP)
