Harvard Distance Education Is A Valuable Initiative

By Jeremiah D. Braunlin

To the editors:

Re: “Virtual Veritas,” magazine, Apr. 13.

Those who scoff at Harvard Extension School’s distance education program merely underscore their limited understanding of education today. Harvard College students are wrong to assume that Harvard Extension School students can’t get an equally great education online, outside the traditional classroom, as those who have the opportunity to study on campus.

The Harvard Extension School proves that a great American education is possible in more ways than one.
