While the rest of the FM staff blunders through production night bleary-eyed and fueled only by trans-fats, Aidan always has a bounce in his step and a joke up his sleeve. We used to contemplate whether he was human or actually a big leprechaun, but now we’ve stopped questioning and just count our blessings as he edits, writes, and picks up broken pieces with speedy aplomb.

Though she once pitched an Overheard that she herself had said, we were distraught when we couldn’t run it: Aria is just that funny. Rapier-sharp wit aside, this friend-of-many-fencers has blown us away with her editing skills and ability to make entire comp classes fall in love with her.

After receiving a frantic phonecall, Ashley waltzes into the Crimson at 3 a.m., makes a few changes, and presto! Pages are transformed from editor-induced ugliness to designer-created beauty. Ashley takes thinking visually to a whole new level, using thoughtful touches and an extreme creative sense to make FM more than just pretty: hot.

She has a sharp eye for trends that are changing Harvard, including the college consulting phenomenon and changes in the Core. Funny and radio-savvy, she’ll bring a fresh, investigative voice to the editing squad.

Nicola’s got the kind of personality that gets her subjects to let down their guard—and lets her get a major scoop. Nicola coaxed professors into putting their writing up for public scrutiny and unearthed fun-related dirt from the campus life fellow. So when she’s not over at the pool with the water polo team, we can’t wait to have her here, teaching writers how to get the goods.

Though we’ll miss her braving the evangelicals in Harvard Square and teaching us how to deliver a baby in a cinch, we’re happy to have her guiding new ones down her journalistic path.
