On Tuesday, the No. 5 Radcliffe heavyweight crew earned the chance to dance on the nation’s biggest stage, as the Black and White was extended an invitation to the NCAA Championship Regatta.
The races will take place on May 27-29 on Lake Natoma in Rancho Cordova, Calif.
One of 12 full teams receiving a bid, the Black and White took the first varsity eight race as well as the overall crown in 2003 and finished tenth last year.
In the NCAA format, two varsity eight boats and one four will race for Radcliffe. Four at-large varsity eights will also be entered into the field.
The Black and White is coming off a third-place showing at Eastern Sprints.
