Postdocs And Grad Students Are Reservoir Of Cultural Diversity

By Dorothy B. Berkoben

To the editors:

Ashton R. Lattimore states the case for a multicultural center (“Calling All Cultures,” comment, Sept. 27) but limits its use to undergraduates. This would be a mistake, given that the most culturally diverse populations at Harvard are our postdoctoral fellow community, followed by the graduate student community. It would be of benefit for undergraduates to have direct contact with fellows and students from foreign countries in a center that would be enjoyed by all.
