Harvard entered six singles players in the 2005 Wilson/ITA Regional Championships at Dartmouth this weekend, but only freshman Sasha Ermakov advanced as far as the round of 16.
Ermakov was seeded No. 16 in the 64-man field, but he bowed out in a three-setter against the No. 4 seed, Mark Barry, of Penn State.
Nineteenth seed Chris Clayton and junior Scott Denenberg advanced to the third round, but both fell in straight sets.
In the doubles draw, the No. 9 pair of Ermakov and senior Brian Wan defeated the No. 7 pair from Virginia Tech, 8-6, to advance to the quarterfinals.
The tournament runs through tomorrow.
