Sugar Ration Limited to Swift Shake of Cellar Now

Rationing hit a new tightness last night when the liberal teaspoonful of sugar was reduced to a pinch in House dining halls. Cereals, fruits, even coffee which had previously been granted at least a spoonful will now be sugared from salt-cellar-like shakers.

Despite the fact that all men have turned in to the University their ration books for the precious white powder, officials apparently felt it necessary to cut consumption. There were no complaints about the new restriction, but several books on bee culture were borrowed from Widener during the evening.
