McLoon single-handedly places Skiing 19th at NCAAs

By The Crimson Staff

Captain Anna McLoon, the only member of the Harvard skiing teams to attend the NCAA Championships, single-handedly earned the Crimson a 19th-place finish this weekend.

McLoon, who has attended the NCAAs for four straight seasons, took 17th in the 15K Classic on Saturday, finishing in 54:51.6.

She also took 23rd in the 5K free skate on Thursday with a time of 12:48.9. Both finishes were improvements on her performance last year, when she took 19th in the 15K and 27th in the 5K.

McLoon was a standout performer for the Crimson all season, often finishing in the top five and winning the 5K Classic at the UVM Carnival earlier this year.

She has been Harvard’s sole representative at the NCAAs every year.
