Medical Marijuana Barred For Unworthy Reasons

Letters to the Editors

By Howard J. Wooldridge

To the editors:

Brian J. Rosenberg’s op-ed (“The Medical Marijuana Mystery,” Dec. 9) was right on. The reason there is zero scientific research on cannabis is quite simple. If the feds allowed the research to show marijuana’s efficacy, they would be stuck with the facts. Today every politician has plausible deniability. No research shows that pot is effective. Therefore, they cannot support people having legal access to it. Knowing they would lose billions in sales, the pharmaceutical companies pay off the politicians to keep God’s free medicine from His people. Follow the money. It is that simple.
