Weaver's Salient Response to Pappin

Letter to the Editors

By Laura Gilinsky, Crimson Staff Writer

To the editors:

I would like to commend Kenyon S.M. Weaver for his op-ed “The Salient’s True End” on May 21. Although Pappin’s ignorant and poorly-written article defending his stance seems beneath intellectual criticism, it is important that Weaver took the time to state why Pappin is wrong.

Ignoring people like Pappin won’t make them or their ideas disappear, but Kenyon’s clear and considered refutation is a step on the way.
