“It’s impossible not to love [Elephant by] the White Stripes. Their music recalls the raw sound of the ’60s blues and rock bands. On this, they finally achieve a really full sound that’s incredible given their spare instrumentation. Blues, metal, garage, whatever you want to call them: the White Stripes make simple but refreshing music. This album is a classic, and I can’t wait to see them live in November.”
