Oct. 22

8:52 a.m.—A Harvard University Police Department (HUPD) officer was dispatched to the Littauer Center to investigate a report of an office being ransacked. The Cambridge Police Department was notified, and a report was filed.

10:44 a.m.—An HUPD officer was sent to the Nieman Foundation to investigate a suspicious letter. HUPD’s Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team responded, and the letter was eventually impounded by the Cambridge Fire Department (CFD).

11:19 a.m.—HUPD officers were dispatched to 641 Huntington St. to investigate a suspicious package. EHS responded. No specific recipient was identified on the package. The package was returned to its sender.

Oct. 23

11:57 a.m.—HUPD officers were directed to the Goldenson building to investigate an unknown powder substance. EHS and the Boston Fire Department (BFD) also responded. The BFD impounded a trash barrel and a letter.

4:15 p.m.—An HUPD officer was sent to Soldiers Field to investigate a report of a stolen golf cart.

5:04 p.m.—An HUPD officer was dispatched to Lowell House to investigate a suspicious letter. HUPD impounded the letter.

Oct. 24

12:17 a.m.—An HUPD officer was sent to Pforzheimer House on a report of a suspicious package. The package was impounded and picked up by EHS.

9:16 a.m.—An HUPD officer was directed to Gund Hall to investigate a report of a white substance on a desk. The officer reported the substance was plaster from a bag placed on the desk.

11:49 a.m.—HUPD officers were dispatched to the Taubman Center on a report of a suspicious letter. EHS responded and impounded the letter.

5:20 p.m.—An HUPD officer was sent to Matthews Hall to investigate a white substance at the front entrance. The officer reported that the substance was laundry detergent.

Oct. 25

3:20 p.m.—An HUPD officer was dispatched to investigate an unknown white substance at the Science Center. EHS responded. The officer reported that the substance was identified as chalk.

6:59 p.m.—An HUPD officer conducted a field interview of a group in the alleyway of the Loeb Drama Center. Shawn Wiegand, 27, of Revere, who had two outstanding warrants, was arrested and taken into custody.

Oct. 26

8:54 a.m.—HUPD officers were sent to Winthrop House to investigate an unknown white powder inside the courtyard between the House’s D and G entryways. The CFD Hazardous Materials Team also responded. A sample of the substance was impounded and the area decontaminated.

Oct. 27

11:28 a.m.—HUPD officers were dispatched to Hamilton Hall to investigate a report that an individual who had previously been issued a trespass warning had returned to the property. The officers arrested Jude R. Rema, 40, of Dorchester, for trespassing.was impounded and the area decontaminated.
