Over a month after placing 28th at the national tournament and bringing home two All-Americans, the honors for the Harvard wrestling team continue to pile up. Four Crimson grapplers, more than any other team in the Ivy League or EIWA conference, were awarded Academic All-American honors for their achievements both on and off the mats.
Junior Matt Picarsic led the way, earning a place on the Academic All-America Second Team. Picarsic boasted the second highest GPA of all the individual Academic All-Americans. Senior co-captain Ed Mosley, senior Kevin Kurtz and sophomore Dawid Rechul all were distinguished with Honorable Mention status.
Altogether, Harvard finished eighth in the National Wrestling Coaches Association Top 25 Division I Academic Teams. Princeton, Stanford and Brown claimed the top three spots, respectively.
