Golf Competes in Ivy Championships

This past weekend, the men's and women's golf teams traveled to New Jersey to compete in the Ivy League Championships.

The Crimson women played at Pine Barrens Golf Course in Jackson, NJ. The women's field consisted of only six teams, with Cornell and Columbia not playing.

Yale won its third Ivy title in four years with a cumulative score of 640 points and was led by two-time All-Ivy and 2000 Ivy Player of the Year Sarah Seo. Harvard placed fifth with a score of 748 and was paced by junior Maureen Shannon, who ended up 17th overall.

Meanwhile, the men's tournament was held on nearby Metedeconk National Golf Course.

Princeton won the title by nine points over Penn with a score of 895. Princeton freshman Nat Hoopes was the individual champion and Princeton had three players on the All-Ivy team.

Harvard placed seventh out of the eight teams at the tournament. The Crimson high-scorer for the tournament was co-captain Kaj Vazales, who finished tied for 21st. Jack Lynch and co-captain Matt Dost also finished in the final rankings for the Crimson by placing 29th and 31st, respectively.
