OCS Director Pleads Not Guilty in Assault Case

By Andrew J. Miller, Contributing Writer

Wilson L. Hunt '65-'69, an assistant director at the Office of Career Services, was arraigned at the Brookline District Court on Nov. 22 on various charges, the most serious of which was armed assault with intent to murder.

Hunt, who is represented by Willie M. Davis of the law firm Davis, Robinson and White, pleaded not guilty and was released without bail.

Hunt was arrested on Oct. 25 after a police chase from Brookline ended in front of the Malkin Athletic Center. He was speeding at 70 miles per hour and refused to pull over for police, according to Lieutenant John D. O'Leary of the Brookline Police Department.

He is charged with armed assault with intent to murder, resisting arrest, failure to stop for police and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. If convicted of all the charges, Hunt could face up to 22 years in jail and $800 in fines.

A pretrial hearing was scheduled for Dec. 21.
