Hill Named To Academic All-America Team

HIGHLIGHTS

By Daniel G. Habib

Just when it seemed Tim Hill's trophy case couldn't get any fuller, the Harvard men's basketball team's senior point guard has garnered another piece of hardware.

Hill was named to the GTE Academic All-America Second Team Tuesday, capping a fine season in which he took home First-Team All-Ivy and Second-Team All-District One honors.

A government concentrator, Hill's 3.32 GPA was good enough to land him on the Second Team. Academic All-Americans must be starters or key reserves and maintain GPAs between 3.20 and 4.00.

Hill led the Crimson in scoring in 1998-99, averaging 16.0 points per game, and led the Ivy League in assists with 6.6 per game.

With Hill running the point, the Crimson finished 13-13 (7-7 Ivy) and capped the winningest four-year stretch in program history with 58 wins.
