Cambridge Resident Arrested In Adams House for Trespassing

By Marc J. Ambinder

A Cambridge resident was arrested early yesterday morning inside of Adams House for trespassing on Harvard property, police officials said.

Michael Jones, 22, who is not affiliated with the University, had been in contact with a female resident of the house several times before, police said.

That student notified the Harvard University Police Department (HUPD), who issued Jones a trespassing warning.

After seeing Jones in Adams House yesterday morning, a few minutes past midnight, the student called police.

Several officers then arrested Jones.

"The gentleman was booked under the normal procedures, and the gentleman was bailed out," an official with HUPD said.

The Middlesex County District Attorney's office will decide whether to bring Jones's case to trial.

Jones was unavailable for comment yesterday.
