Easter Sunday: The Boston Globe runs a front-page story proclaiming the imminent demise of Radcliffe as an undergraduate college.

April 19: The RCAA Board of Management demands to be told "the substance of [the] deliberations" in a letter to Wilson and the Board of Trustees.

April 20: Peggy M. Mclntosh '56 resigns her position as the RCAA second vice president to protest the secrecy of the top-level discussions.

April 21: About 80 students rush to support Radcliffe's role in undergraduate life with a march from Radcliffe to Harvard Yard on April 21, followed by a rally in front of University Hall.

Early May: President Wilson establishes an e-mail address (terrain@radcliffe.edu) to filter alumnae opinion about Radcliffe's potential "intellectual terrain."

June 5: Wilson tells an audience of alumnae that Radcliffe and Harvard are discussing The Relationship's future; Wilson affirms Radcliffe's status will be determined responsibly--but secretly.
