8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
The Harvard Independent, the campus weekly newspaper, named its new executive board last night.
Jason R. Stevenson '00, Hillary A. Gould '00 and Daniel I. Zahler '00 are the new president, publisher and editor-in-chief respectively.
"I'm looking forward to leading the charge [this year]," Stevenson said. "Our masthead is very deep. There are a lot of talented people on this paper now, and I'm glad that I have the chance to work with all the writers and all the support staff."
"I'm really looking forward to the coming year," Zahler said. "I think we really have a great staff."
The seniors on the outgoing executive board selected the new staff based on interviews and written applications. The selection process began less than a month ago.
Outgoing publisher William O. Reckler '99 said the publication defines its positions around the strengths of the people applying.
Last year the Independent did not have a president or an editor-in-chief.
