Danilewitz is a Courageous Voice

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Justin Danilewitz's recent column on chastity ("It Goeth the Way of Chivalry," Dec. 15) shows that he is a writer who is not afraid to address important issues and take a stand that may be unpopular.

Rarely in the campus media are writers willing to speak out against the "instant gratification" climate which seems to dominate. Meanwhile, Danilewitz correctly points out that if we stay that course, our community will almost certainly fall short of perfection. Here, as in his past columns, Danilewitz takes a thoughtful approach to his subject and eloquently enunciates his point.

Whether the issue is chastity, the Middle East or transgenderism, Danilewitz has not hesitated to defend a position that goes against the grain. His articulate voice represents a refreshing dose of energy for the Crimson. -Adam R. Kovacevich '99
