FENCING AWARDS

Harvard fencers Gene Vastola, Rob Homer and Mike Bieker earned All-Ivy status on the squad, announced last week.

Vastola won a spot on the first-team foil team, tying for most wins in any event with his 13-2 record. Homer (9-6) was selected to the sabre first team, and Bieker (8-7) to the foil second team.

Penn, the Ivy champs, placed five fencers on the All-Ivy squad.
