"It's the life blood of what we're going to be able to do." Sees himself particularly involved in international fundraising efforts.

On Government Relations:

Doesn't see himself deeply involved in this area. Says it's the perview of the vice president for government, community and public affairs.

On Faculty Retirement:

Approves of the University's wait-and-see approach. Currently sees no problem, though he will keep an eye on it.

On Information Technology:

"I love information technology. It's a critically important area to the management of the University."
