8 Takeaways From Harvard’s Task Force Reports
The ballots have been counted and the winners finally announced for this year's All-Ivy League fencing teams.
And as usual, the top was colored with Crimson.
Nabbing first team foil honors were Harvard standouts Jill Katz and Viki Danics. Equally up to the task were Mallory Stewart and Valerie Uzzell, who both picked up first team epee nods.
On the men's side, Greg Chang and Michael Gattner were voted first team foil and epee respectively.
The Harvard women's team finished its regular season with a 11-1 record, while the men posted a 5-5 mark.
The nominations for the All-Ivy team demanded that each individual fenced in at least 80 percent of league bouts, with the men having to compete in at least nine league matches and the women in at least 16.
The NCAA Fencing Committee is expected to announce the qualifiers for the 1996-97 NCAA Fencing Championships later this week. The Tournament is set to take place at Air Force on March 20-23.
