At about 7:30 last Tuesday evening, two Israeli air force helicopters collided over northern Israel. In this accident, the worst in Israeli history, 73 soldiers were killed.

This tragedy is especially traumatic for a country as small as Israel. To express the magnitude of the tragedy, a proportional loss of life in the United States would translate into 3500 dead. We as young people are especially shaken by the deaths for the young men were all of college age.

We mourn with the families and the entire nation of Israel. Harvard Students for Israel Advisory Board
