The Undergraduate Council is a joke. The only way to change that is to cater to the masses of the undergraduate student body that until now the council has ignored. The council's immediate priority should be to organize campus-wide social events and implement changes with universal appeal, such as Core reform and universal key card access. Only then will the council have enough respect and credibility among a large number of students to truly be a voice for the student body which has a wide range of interests.

I endorse David J. Malan '98 for council president, who promises to push the council in the direction of relevance. He has a very clear notion for the council, including an internal structure and methods for improving its image on campus.
