Sailing Impresses At Local Regatta

HIGHLIGHTS

By Rebecca A. Blaeser

Despite the inclement weather, the Harvard sailing team braved the elements in the name of the Mike Horn Trophy at the Harvard Sailing Center.

Beginning in 1985, this regatta brings together a field of 12 teams. The Harvard crew finished a respectable fourth with 158 total points behind only Tufts (131), Boston University (141) and Boston College (142).

Two freshmen, Erik Burnstein and Jack Donahue, had impressive days as they won their respective divisions. Burstein won his division outright while Donahue tied for first with 53 points.

The sailing team will be in action once again this coming weekend when it competes in the Atlantic Coast Championships which are held at three separate locations: MIT, the Coast Guard Academy and St. Mary's.
